The electric cars will be back at the Britton airport on Friday, and race watchers will see some definite design improvements since the Britton-Hecla School program began two years ago.

Cars in the field will include two from Britton-Hecla, a couple from Wayne, NE, another from Cedar Rapids, IA, and one from Northwestern under the direction of David Hosley who began the local program. Race time is set for 3 p.m.

One of the Britton-Hecla cars has also taken to the road this spring. The team of Alex Hannisch, Brandon Hastings, Kade Elsen, Sean Parrow, and Greg Williamson has run races in Wayne, NE, taking fourth in a 16-car field, and also competed in Omaha, NE. They also plan to race at the Lakewood Mall in Aberdeen on Saturday.
