Piaggo Ltd. To Offer Electric Version of Porter Van

The Electric Porter range is powered by a 10.5 kW electric motor and a quad-pack 96-volt rechargeable lead-gel battery pack, to offer speeds up to 35 mph, range up to 85 miles and a payload capacity of 470 to 560 kg.

Coinciding with the introduction of the 2005 Porter range of vans and specialist vehicles to the UK market, Piaggio Ltd has also launched an Electric Porter.

The Electric Porter range is powered by a 10.5 kW electric motor and a quad-pack 96-volt rechargeable lead-gel battery pack, to offer speeds up to 35 mph, range up to 85 miles and a payload capacity of 470 to 560 kg.

The Electric Porter will be available in five versions – Panel Van, Glass Van, Pick-Up, Tipper and Big-Deck, with prices starting from £15,500, excluding VAT. All models are zero-emission vehicles and are exempted from both road fund licence and the London Congestion Charge.
