Northern Ireland's Translink Sending Mixed Signals with Bicycle Ban

Cyclists prohibited from taking bicycles on board trains before 9:30 am, limiting their use by workers wishing to use them in their daily commute.

Fares on buses and trains in Northern Ireland are not only going up, but Translink is also deterring its more environmentally friendly customers.

The company announced yesterday that fares will be go up on Metro, Ulsterbus and NI Railways services from Easter Monday.

The fares will increase by two per cent, yet current Translink policy means passengers cannot bring their bicycles on trains in the mornings.
