N class=p>TOKYO -- Toyota Motor Corp on Tuesday took the wraps off two newly developed hybrid electric-gasoline sport utility vehicles for sale in Japan.

The Harrier Hybrid and Kluger Hybrid are equipped with a newly developed high-power hybrid system with the concept of producing a sophisticated fusion of ecology and power, Japan's largest automaker said. Carrying high-output 3.3-liter V6 gasoline engines, the vehicles' fuel efficiency exceeds the level demanded by standards Japan is to introduce in 2010 by 5%, qualifying for preferential "green tax" treatment.
