Bright Future Predicted for Electric Bikes

Whereas the green revolution is in full swing for the automobile sector, the bike industry has a similar proposal on its future platform know as Light Electric Vehicles (LEV).

As a young child, most people have fond memories of learning and grasping the skills of riding a two-wheeler, as riding a bike is one of the most important skills to master at a young age, where it brings a sense of joy, satisfaction and freedom for a young child.

From the creation of lighter bikes made of carbon fiber, to more aerodynamic accessories such as high-tech flanges to stabilize wheels, the bicycle industry has made dramatic improvements over the past century on its physical appearance and overall feel but revolutionary changes are still hard to come by.

At the 2005 Taipei International Bike Show, all this changed as industry experts from three major bike markets, discussed the potential of a paradigmatic revolution within the industry.
