If Charise Stephens wants something to happen, it will.

Not because she's lucky. (Often, she hasn't been.) Not because she's powerful. (Four years ago she was raising five children by herself on a restaurant manager's salary.)

But friends and co-workers say Stephens has such an infectious enthusiasm for the people and ideas she loves, they take on an unstoppable momentum.
