South Korea and China to Cooperate on Renewable Energy Projects

First cooperative venture is a US$1.4 million 100-kilowatt solar panel farm in Tibetan desert of western China.

L, Dec. 28 (Yonhap) -- South Korea will cooperate with China in developing ways to harness new and renewable energy resources, beginning with a joint solar energy project, officials said Tuesday.

According to the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy, the neighboring countries have agreed to establish a US$1.4 million 100-kilowatt solar panel farm at a location in the Tibetan desert in western China for feasibility testing over three years.
