A new car that runs on the constituents of water - hydrogen and oxygen - and emits nothing but steam is the sensational new development from the vorsprung durch technik people at Audi.
The new hydrogen-powered prototype, called the A2-H2, combines an environmentally friendly fuel cell propulsion unit with a high performance storage battery.
It is based on the pioneering Audi A2 supermini-sized hatchback, and equals the 94mpg performance of the highly fuel efficient A2 1.2 litre turbo diesel model.
