Plug Power Announces Upcoming Events
LATHAM, N.Y., April 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Plug Power Inc. (Nasdaq: PLUG) announced today three upcoming events: an Analyst and Investor Day, the company's release of its 1st Quarter Financial Results and its Annual Stockholders Meeting date.
Plug Power will be providing a live webcast of a meeting at which Roger Saillant, Plug Power's President and CEO, along with other senior executives, will review the company's business strategy and provide a financial update. Plug Power invites all investors, media and the general public to listen to this webcast on April 12, 2001 at 9:00 a.m. (EDT). The webcast can be accessed by going to Plug Power's Web site at http://www.plugpower.com and will be available for replay by Friday, April 13, 2001.
Plug Power has scheduled the release of its financial results for the quarter ended March 31, 2001 on Thursday, April 26, 2001. In conjunction with the release, the company will have a brief live conference call and webcast at 2:00 p.m. (EDT) on the day of the release. Plug Power has scheduled its second annual meeting of shareholders to be held on Wednesday, May 16, 2001, with a record date of March 23, 2001. The meeting will commence at 10:00 a.m. at the Albany Marriott, 189 Wolf Road, in Albany, N.Y. All interested parties are welcome to attend.
Plug Power is a designer and developer of on-site, energy generation systems utilizing proton exchange membrane fuel cells for stationary applications. The Latham, N.Y.-based company was founded in 1997, as a joint venture of DTE Energy Company and Mechanical Technology Incorporated. Plug Power Holland was established in February 2000 as the first European presence of Plug Power. Plug Power's fuel cell systems for residential and small commercial stationary applications are expected to be sold globally through a joint venture with the General Electric Company, one of the world's leading suppliers of power generation technology and energy services. DTE Energy Technologies will distribute these units in Michigan, Illinois, Ohio and Indiana.
