Global Warming Business Group Cools Its Message
NEW YORK, Nov 8 (Reuters) -The Global Climate Coalition (GCC), a business group dedicated to questioning claims that humans cause global warming, has softened its tone ahead of a global meeting on the issue later this month in The Hague.
"They've certainly undergone a fairly significant strategic retreat," said Dan Esty, Director of the Centre for Environmental Law and Policy at Yale University. "That has to be a signal that everything they were doing previously wasn't working."
Based in Washington, D.C, the GCC has previously spent millions of dollars on campaigns arguing that research into global warming is still too limited to draw any firm conclusions.
