Plug Power Demonstrates Fuel Cell in Germany
LATHAM, N.Y., March 27 (Reuters) - Plug Power Inc. (PLUG.O) said Tuesday an operational prototype of the fuel cell heating appliance developed with Vaillant GmbH is on display this week in the private German heating technology company's booth at the International Sanitary and Heating Fair in Germany.
"We are extremely pleased with the progress we have made over the past year with Vaillant," Plug Power CEO Roger Saillant said in a statement. "Displaying an operational fuel cell heating appliance that produces both electricity and heat at the ISH Fair today is a tremendous accomplishment that both companies are proud of."
In March 2000, Plug Power, GE Fuel Cell Systems and Vaillant signed development, supply and distribution agreements for a combined heat and power system that will provide both heat and electricity for the home.
