Western Australia Seeks to be Center for Hydrogen Economy

Western Australia provides ten percent of world's liquid natural gas

Western Australia could become one of the world centres for the development of the hydrogen economy, Development Minister Clive Brown said.

In a speech to the Committee for the Economic Development of Australia (CEDA) in Perth, Mr Brown outlined the growing use of hydrogen as a primary energy source.

And he said the development of the hydrogen economy, which some energy experts believe could eventually replace fossil fuel, opened up huge opportunities for Australian businesses.
