Automakers Blaze New Trails In Detroit
If Honda expects to keep up with Toyota and Nissan in North America, it will have to expand its offerings in the fastest growing segment of the automotive market - trucks.
Not a moment too soon, Honda introduced its first "Sport Utility Truck" - or SUT - at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit this week.
Although the SUT on the turntable in Detroit is technically a concept vehicle, Honda officials confirmed plans to build the light-duty truck at the maker's Alliston, Ontario, plant in 2005.
