J Mays, group vice president for design at Ford Motor Co., said Ford's emerging design philosophy could be called "urban tough" as he showed off a Bronco concept sport-utility vehicle. But just a few minutes earlier, Ford Division President Steve Lyons was boasting that the new Five Hundred sedan had a trunk big enough to hold eight -- count 'em, eight -- sets of golf clubs. Urban tough? Oh, never mind.
