Clean Air High Priority for North Texas Metros

So the federal outfit has set demands that cities in the area must meet if they wish to continue receiving certain federal funding. Frisco is all over the challenge set forth.

From the Green Building Plan to a planned small fleet of hybrid cars, city leaders are hoping to do their part to clean the air in North Texas.

The State of Texas' clean air implementation plan has been submitted to the EPA but never accepted because "(North Texas) never meets their demands," Mayor Mike Simpson said. "It's imperative that we get this plan approved so every city in the area has to do its part. If all the cities don't get together and get this done we'll lose some important funding for our area."
