SolarImpulse Borschberg Starts ePlane Company
What do you do after co-flying the SolarImpulse solar-powered airplane around the world? You start an electric aircraft company, of course.
That's what Andrea Borschberg is doing, creating Swiss-based H55, which has completed some 50 hours of test flights of the aEro 1 electric airplane. According to Aviation Week, the new venture will " develop certified electric propulsion systems for air transport."
The company reports"“H55 focuses on the entire propulsion chain, starting from the energy source and its management, right through thrust and power, as well as pilot interface and all control systems."
