Electrifying the Inimitable Honda Cub

A standard Honda Cub gets stripped down to its essentials and given an electric hub motor drive.

Australians Joe Fisher from Sydney and Ryan Mischkulnig of Melbourne collaborated as part of the Deus Bike Build Off to convert the standard Honda Cub gas-powered moped into an electric model. That bike is depicted above, courtesy of to Classic Driver.

The duo stripped off the all the non-essential parts of the bike from fenders and fairings to motor and mount. While we don't have any information about the size of the battery pack they gave it and therefore the range, the publication did note that acceleration is better than the gas model.
