TOKYO — Tokyo Electric Power Co (TEPCO) will set up a subsidiary in April to sell small electric vehicles made by a Toyota Motor Corp subsidiary, sources at the biggest private power supplier in Japan said Monday.
The vehicles are made by Araco Corp and are available for 700,000 to 800,000 yen, the sources said. Already used for such purchases as home delivery of pizzas, the vehicles can be charged by plugging them into a conventional household electrical socket. (Kyodo News)
