Gas Price Swings Expected to Continue

World demand will cause 10-15 cents a gallon price swings for foreseeable future.

That's a frequent question asked nowadays in convenience stores and service stations.

A year ago, the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline in West Virginia was $1.15. Today, it's $1.56, according to AAA.

Recent increases have been blamed on the threat of war with Iraq and the Venezuelan oil strike.
