Electric Car Chargers Being Installed in Phoenix

Phoenix area locations include downtown sites, 15 to 20 city-owned buildings and some Best Buy stores.

Electric-vehicle chargers are being installed in Phoenix to prepare the city for the next wave of eco-friendly cars to hit the market in 2012.

Phoenix-based Ecotality North America expects to install about 1,000 chargers across the Valley and Tucson by the end of the year to make way for the Nissan Leaf and Chevy Volt.

Some of the Phoenix area locations include downtown sites, 15 to 20 city-owned buildings and some Best Buy stores.
