Turkish PM Tests Country's First Electric Car

Renault Fluence ZE electric car is assembled in Oyak Renault factories in Bursa province.

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan tested Turkey's first electric car on Saturday.

Officials briefed Erdogan about Turkey's first mass production electric car Renault Fluence Z.E. at Prime Ministry residence.

Industry & Trade Minister Nihat Ergun as well as National Defense Minister Vecdi Gonul accompanied Erdogan during his test drive.

Korean company already supplying cells to eight other carmakers.

Electric car charging stations will be installed at E. Lecleric stores in France.

Some 500 stations will be installed by 2015.

Renault ZOE concept could be available by 2012.

Car would have fully-charged range of 100 km.
