LG Chem to Supply Batteries to Changan Automobiles

Lithium batteries to be used in hybrid car.

LG Chem Ltd., South Korea’s biggest chemicals maker, agreed to supply hybrid-car batteries to Chongqing Changan Automobile Co. of China.

LG Chem will begin supplying the lithium-ion batteries in the second half of this year. The South Korean company made the announcement today in a statement without disclosing the value of the contract.
