At a time when gasoline prices have settled into a kind of stability, is there still a market for hybrid vehicles?

In central Ohio, the fuel sippers continue to have a strong following. Some drivers say they enjoy the novelty of fuel economy provided by the gas-electric engines, even if the gas money saved isn't as impressive as it once was.

   Yet more evidence pointing the way for increasing gasoline tax in the USA RIGHT NOW. Little doubt that big oil would like the EV and hybrid market to remain flat. If big oil keeps fuel prices low, the incentive for change is largely missing. Automakers will cease to produce a product that has no market. Big oil wins. It's like needing to go a oil diet. We understand the reasons, but don't want the inconvenience.
