Cadillac has the world's first luxury hybrid full-size SUV that will improve fuel economy in city driving by up to 50 percent.

The 2009 Escalade Hybrid launches from a stop and drives on electricity in low-speed city driving.

The Cadillac Escalade Hybrid is equipped with GM's 2-Mode hybrid system, which is a combination of an electrically variable transmission and a 300-volt nickel-metal hydride battery. For those who have the money, this is a top-quality full-size luxury sport utility vehicle that can seat up to eight people.
