Having the environment is about to cost you a little more green - at least if you’re shopping for a Honda Civic Hybrid.

A federal income-tax credit on the popular eco-friendly model will drop to $1,050 after midnight tomorrow, down from $2,100 today.

“I’d say 60 to 70 percent of people who shop for Civic Hybrids ask about the tax credit, so it’s going to be detrimental that (a full credit) isn’t available for 2008,” Boch Honda’s Brian Downey said Friday as customers checked out the model at the Norwood dealership.
