Deliveries of ZAP Xebra Electric Truck Pass 500

A recent report from ZAP's engineering estimates that the all-electric XEBRA can achieve the equivalent of 140 miles per gallon.

Electric vehicle pioneer ZAP (OTCBB: ZAAP) announced today that it has delivered over 500 units of its XEBRA car and truck.

ZAP has new factory orders in place for its electric XEBRA, Zapino mopeds and ZAPPY3 scooters that will increase its output from last year. CEO Steve Schneider says the increase in production is based on rising demand due to record gas prices in 2007 and concerns about the environment with few choices available in the marketplace.

"Over the years, many have talked about making electric cars, but I believe today that ZAP is one of the only companies that has delivered over 500 electric vehicles that are being used throughout the country on a daily basis in city-speed applications," said Schneider. "Although there are low speed vehicles on the market that reach 25 MPH, I believe ZAP and its licensed dealer network are the only source for city-speed vehicles."

Schneider noted a recent report from ZAP's engineering estimating that the all-electric XEBRA can achieve the equivalent of 140 miles per gallon.

"We are now working diligently on highway capable electric vehicles and long range electric vehicles and expect to make further announcements on their progress at the annual shareholder meeting."

ZAP's annual meeting of shareholders is open to the public. The meeting is scheduled for Sunday, July 29, 2007 at 2 PM near downtown Santa Rosa, California. Seating will be limited, so people interested in attending are asked to make advanced reservations. To RSVP, contact ZAP at 707-525-8658 and dial '0' for the operator to leave the number of people per party by July 20.
