IN the studio where the Corvette, LaSalle and tailfins were born, Moosic resident Ryan Joyce worked to create the car of the future.

The Cleveland Institute of Art student’s work during a coveted General Motors Corp. internship will be featured in a Discovery Channel documentary titled "Futurecar" that will air in February.

Joyce, 23, and six other students spent three months in the 40-acre GM design studio in Warren, Mich., where Harley Earl revolutionized automobile design in the mid-20th century. Working with GM engineers, the team attempted to design hydrogen fuel cell vehicles for 2030.
