Egypt To Issue Int'l Tender for 85 MW Wind Power Project

In addition to wind farm, Egypt is due to also establish its first 150 megawatt thermal solar power plant from grants provided by Japan, Denmark and Spain.

CAIRO, January 17 -- Egypt will invite international tender for a for a 85 megawatts wind farm to produce electricity from Zafarana power station for next March.

Egypt said the first thermal solar station due to be established in Koraymat at a capacity of 150 megawatts. Japan is providing grants for these projects.

Denmark will contribute in the third stage, as well as Spain in the fourth stage of a 80 megawatts station.
