Honda Hybrid and Fuel Cell Cars to Highlight New Delhi Auto Expo
NEW DELHI: Hybrid and fuel cell cars — which are already a big rage among environment-conscious car buyers in the developed world — will make their Indian debut at the forthcoming Auto Expo. But for now, the debut will be limited to only being a showcase as carmakers are still working out the logistics of rolling out these zero-emission models on the Indian roads.
Japan’s Honda Motor Company will unveil its Insight hybrid car and the FCX fuel-cell vehicle at the Auto Expo 2006, starting January 12. This will be the first time that a global automotive biggie will be introducing these technologies to the Indian car buyers.
"The idea is to showcase the technology and educate customers about the benefits of these alternate fuel technologies," a source said.
