Since his days as secretary of the U.S. Department of Energy, Gov. Bill Richardson has been an advocate of clean energy. This week he will get a chance to talk shop with some of the industry's most important leaders and policy makers at the North American Energy Summit in Albuquerque, which runs from April 14-16.

Richardson, who is chairman of the host organization, the Western Governors' Association (WGA), says he wants to use the summit to coordinate his clean energy agenda with members of the WGA and political leaders in Canada and Mexico.

"We want to foster renewable energy technologies in the West and with other states," Richardson says.
