Wavecrest and Matra Join Forces in Europe

Agreement reached to collaborate on the development and distribution of highly advanced electric propulsion systems in France and throughout Europe.

PARIS, Feb. 4, 2005 – WaveCrest Laboratories and Matra Manufacturing and Services have finalized an agreement to collaborate on the development and distribution of highly advanced electric propulsion systems in France and throughout Europe.

Matra is a Paris-based organization specializing in transportation technologies.  Matra represents more than 40 years of automotive expertise in manufacturing, assembly, purchasing and sales activities in France, and after-sales associated services and spare parts distribution in Europe.

WaveCrest, which is headquartered in Dulles, Va., U.S.A., is a leading-edge company that is developing and commercializing highly advanced electric propulsion and drive systems. The patented WaveCrest Adaptive® motor system employs innovative software controls coupled with electromagnetic, thermal, and mechanical designs, to provide efficient, cost effective, low pollution, and quiet electric power with superior levels of performance.  This technology will launch a new generation of electric and hybrid electric vehicles with operating characteristics that were never before possible, including bicycle, motorcycle, motor scooter, ATV, wheelchair, maritime and other applications.
